Characters (all names I use are changed, unless the person they refer to is a public figure) in alphabetical order by first name:

Etta: A member of our church choir and dear friend of mine whose dementia had advanced for the past 10 years or so. She is now deceased.

Gloria: An organist, composer, and dear friend, who devotes every moment to the Glory of God. Gloria is one of the kindest, gentlest souls I've ever encountered.

Katje: A long standing church choir member.

Moth: A local artist and friend. We like to cook together and drink coffee.

Rhea: Our soprano section leader at church. She specializes in early music and collaborates with many early music ensembles in the area, in addition to solo work. A kind person who likes to give people tokens of affection.

Scott Hanoian: The new director of the university choral union as of 2015-2016, dedicated church musician, and very fine organist.

Therees Hibbard: One of the choral directors at St. Olaf, new as of 2015-2016.

Yasmin: My very best friend.
